Obituary for Herman Thomas "Tommy" Putman, Sr.

Herman Thomas “Tommy” Putman, Sr., 75 of Henderson passed away October 18, 2017 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.  He was born February 25, 1942 in Henderson, KY to the late Forrest and Lillie Pearl (Porter) Putman. Herman was a member of Church of Christ and had retired from Whirlpool Corp. after 36 years and was presently employed part-time at Wolfe’s Auto Auction.In addition to his parents, he was preceded by 2 brothers; Lee Mills and Gilbert Mills.He is survived by his wife of 55 years; Jane Putman, 2 children; Janet Burke and her husband Jim of Dixon, Junior Putman and his wife Cherri of Henderson, 1 sister; Lillie Hinton of Henderson, 2 brothers; James Putman of Poole, Mike Putman of  Clay, 5 grandchildren; Adam Burke, Caleb Burke, Meghan Putman, Carrie Putman , Kyle Putman and 1 great grandchild; Evelyn Grace Anderson.Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Gary Puryear and David Salisbury will officiate.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Friday and 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.Online condolences may be made at www.tomblinsonfuneralhome.com
