Obituary for J. P. Thomasson

J. P. Thomasson, 95 of Onton passed away August 9, 2017 at NHC nursing home. He was born December 19, 1921 in Anton KY to James and Nora Thompson. J. P. was a member of Onton United Methodist Church, owned and operated Thomasson’s Feed Mill in Onton for many years and he also loved baseball, basketball and golf.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Billy Thomasson and Emerson Thomasson, 3 sisters; Naomi Perrin Viva Lee Parker and Marjory Little.  He is survived by nieces and nephews.  Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 12 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel.  Pastor Marty Robertson will officiate.  Burial will be in Sassafras Grove Cemetery in Onton.  Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Sassafras Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Patricia Wilkerson, 1883 St. Rt. 138, Dixon, KY 42409. Sassafras Grove Cemetery in Onton.  Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Sassafras Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Patricia Wilkerson, 1883 St. Rt. 138, Dixon, KY 42409.
