Charles “Tom” Hancock, 76, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his daughter’s home under the care of Heart-to-Heart Hospice and his loving daughter by his side.
Tom was born in Sebree, Kentucky, to the late Chester and Bessie Ann (Todd) Hancock. He was the proud owner and operator of a locksmith company for many years.
He loved to sit outside and enjoyed watching The Smurfs with his daughter—simple moments that brought him great joy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Floyd Hancock and Robert Henry Hancock.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara Sue Hancock; his daughter, Sylvia Pierson (Matthew); stepson, Christopher Luttrell; siblings, Chester Hancock Jr. and Harriet Puckett; grandchildren, Christian Adcock (Frances), John Adcock (Kiya), Airel Adcock, Makenzey Pierson, Jacquilynn Pierson, Matthew Pierson, Michael Pierson, and Makayla Pierson; great-grandchildren, Niomi Jimenez, Aurora Adcock, and Cooper Adcock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Kyle Wishert Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Dale Cemetery in Sebree, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home.
