Clifford "Cliff" Hollis Thompson

Clifford “Cliff” Hollis Thompson, 51, of Henderson, KY, passed away from a massive heart attack on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at home.

He enjoyed the finest of wines, playing and watching golf, and spent as much time as he could in the kitchen cooking for his family. He loves doing all the shopping. He frequently went to Costco, Fresh Thyme, Fresh Market, Sams, ALDIs plus a few more. He had many friends at the places he shopped at. He loved to watch movies as often as he could with his family and dogs. He never missed a beat when it came to bringing the family together. He was always supportive; working hard to fulfill, not only his dreams, but also the others around him. He strived to be a great husband and a great father. He loved big and fought for what he believed in.

He grew up in Henderson, Kentucky, and visited his family in Texas during his childhood summers. He graduated from Henderson County High School and completed some college at Henderson Community College. He was the President of Thompson International Inc and was loved by all at work. He thought of them as family also. Not a day would go by he didn’t mention Ruth, Peggy, Bill, Adam or Amy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Michael Thompson and his parents, Charles Donald Thompson Sr. and Elizabeth (Libby) Hall Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Deana Wilson Thompson; his four children, Mary, Lauren, Joshua, and Audrey Thompson; his 4 dogs Ralphie, Pinki, Ruby and Charlie. a brother, Don Thompson Jr. (Stacy) of Henderson ; a sister, Ivy Owens (Ricky) of Texas; a sister Donna Teal of Texas; brother in law, Darren Wilson (Paula) of Dixie; and several nieces and nephews. He also had a very special cousin, Mitzi Fisher, Texas, who he loved dearly.

His wishes were to be cremated and not have a funeral. We will have a memorial in the near future and post that on Facebook.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Thompson Children Memorial Fund, c/o Field and Main Bank.
