Harold Eugene Frederick Sr., 86, of Corydon, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, daughter, Beth, and son-in-law, Brad on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
He was born in Corydon on January 27, 1939 to the late Floyd and Mary “Virgie” (Smith) Frederick.
Harold was a skilled butcher and dedicated factory worker, retiring from Dana Corporation after 25 years of service. He had a passion for raccoon and rabbit hunting, spent many years coaching girls’ softball, and was a faithful member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlene (Peckenpaugh) Frederick; daughters, Beth (Brad) French, Shawna Frederick, Mary Ann Bridwell, Janice Burke, and Shelia Ruby; sons, John Stewart, Caleb Frederick, Buzz Frederick, and Earl Wayne Frederick; numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date officiated by Ted Dixon. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is handling arrangements.
The family extends special thanks to Nurse Alyssa for her kindness and compassion and to St. Anthony’s Hospice. Also, special thanks to Fr. Dave of St. Peters for last rites.
