James "Jim" C. Owens, Sr.

James “Jim” Carroll Owens, Sr, 86 of Henderson passed away Sept. 15, 2023, at Redbanks Colonial Terrace in Sebree.

He was born March 7, 1937, in Webster County, KY to the late Clydie and Ruby Owens.

Jim retired from Henderson Water and Sewer, member of Victory Christian Church and Klassix Kruisers. He enjoyed buying and restoring old cars, collecting Coca-Cola and Elvis Presley memorabilia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Thomas Owens, Donald Owens, Bobby Owens, Linda Howard and Betty Jean Donaghy.

Jim is survived by his children; Cindy Bentley (Ron), Pam Stone, Jimmy Owens and Jama Pike (Rick); three siblings, Dorothy Mae Stone, Mary Alice Adams and Wanda Gail Lynn; sister-in-law, Sue Owens; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pastor Jack Ross will officiate.

Visitation will be 2:30 pm-6:00 pm, Sunday, Sept. 17 and Monday, 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Victory Christian Church.
