Jovani Gabriel Martinez Barco

Jovani Gabriel Martinez Barco, 22, of Sebree, KY passed away Sunday July 13, 2025.

He was born in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico on June 20, 2003 to Jorge Luis Martinez Mena and Silvia Martinez.

He is a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Sebree. He was a graduate of Madisonville Community College. He loved playing soccer, lifting weights, video games, riding mortorcycles, his dogs and anything outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Emilio Barco and Gabriel Martinez. Cousin Luis Miguel Barco.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Jorge Luis Martinez Barco and sister, Perla Viridiana Martinez Barco (Felix). Grandmothers, Hermelinda Mena and Sofia Perez De Barco. Aunts and Uncles: Ma. Gabriela and Artemio Barco, Rosalinda Barco, Hector Barco, Mario Barco, Maria De La Luz Barco, Miguel Martinez and Carlos Martinez. Nieces: Nicole Danay Calvillo Martinez, Jazmine Lily Calvillo Martinez, Arianna Barco, Katherine Barco, Cassandra Barco, Aliyah Pina Sanchez, Samaria Fuller, Sariyah Fuller and Dariely Ruiz. Nephews: Jonathan Carreras, Alex Carreras, Christian Carreras, Erik Carreras, Victor Barco and Samuel Escalera. Cousins: Lupita (Rene) Barco, Hugo (Haley) Barco, Iris Bautista, Cesar Bautista, Fernando Bautista, Gael Bautista, Mario Barco, Martin Barco, Angel Barco, Julissa Barco, Jessica Martinez, Zulema Martinez, Miguel Martinez, Paola Martinez, Selena Perez, Noemi Perez, Fatima Perez, Hector Barco, Nayali Barco, Carlos Martinez Jr. and Brisia Martinez.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 Saturday July 19, 2025 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Sebree, KY.

Father Carmelo Jimenez will officiate.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY.

Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel and Saturday 10:00 AM until Service time at St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Jorge Martinez, Felix Calvillo, Hugo Barco, Hector Barco Jr., Miguel Martinez Jr., Cesar Bautista, Martin Barco and Rene Carreras.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan Carreras and Alex Carreras.
