William "Bill" Thomas Watkins

William “Bill” Thomas Watkins, 79, of Reed, KY, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his home.

Bill was born November 12, 1943, in Reed, KY to the late Thomas and Juanita Watkins. He retired from Faultless Caster in Evansville, IN. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed coon hunting. He also enjoyed watching football and basketball and followed Mayfield Cardinals and UK sports. But his biggest joy was spending time with and facetiming his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ann Watkins; 2 brothers, Joe Watkins, Melvin Watkins and nephew, Derrick West.

Bill is survived by his 2 children, Michele Latta (Jimmy) of Mayfield, KY, Chris Watkins of Mayfield, KY; 3 sisters, Velma Daughrity (Billy Ray “Duke”) of Reed, KY, Mary Alexander (Larry “Boot”) of Hebbardsville, KY, Vera Mayes (Terry) of Henderson, KY; 4 grandchildren, Goldie Luxe, Kelsey Morris (Brock), Dylan Reed (Alli), Nathan Watkins;2 great grandkids, Kylie Morris, Booker Morris; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 11:00 AM, at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel with Rev. Mary Wrye officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Monday, October 9, 2023, 4:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday, October, 10, 2023, 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
