Alan F Parker

Alan F. Parker, 70 of Henderson passed away Friday January 8, 2016 at 6:15 PM at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh. He was born in Henderson on March 19, 1945 to Audie and Maudine (Vance) Parker-Huff. He was a commercial hardware salesman, a member of Airline Baptist Church and a US Marine Corps Veteran. Alan was also a tissue donor. He was preceded in death by his father Audie Parker and mother Maudine Parker-Huff and 1 brother: Steve Parker. Survivors include his wife Mary Cravens-Parker Step-father: John Huff of Henderson 3 daughters: Angie Melton and husband Ron of Henderson Michelle Sherman and husband Art of Princeton, Indiana Jennifer Parker and companion Mitch of Henderson 1 brother: Audie Parker and wife Nancy 1 sister: Brenda Pullum and husband George all of Henderson 6 Granddaughters: Dannielle, Chelsea, Heather, Holli, Hannah, Mary Kate 2 Great-grandchildren Nieces and nephews Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday January 13, 2016 at Airline Baptist Church. Pastor Nathan Whisnant and Bro. David Simpson will officiate. Entombment will be in Fernwood Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-8PM at Airline Baptist Church and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Audie Parker, Mitch Tarr, Keith Pullum, Ron Melton, Art Sherman and Patrick G. Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy McDonald and Roger Meuth.
