Albert P. Logsdon, 79, of Little Dixie passed away at his home at 9:10 AM Monday September 3, 2012. He was born in Henderson County to Benjamin Franklin and Ruby Louise (Powell) Logsdon on May 13, 1933. He was a self-employed carpenter for 40 years. He was a US Army Veteran, was a member of Dixie United Methodist Church, a past Master of Corydon Masonic Lodge 799, a member of Scottish Rite and Shrine. He also helped form the Henderson Chapter of Demolay where he also served as a chapter dad for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Mark Logsdon. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Braukhoff) Logsdon 2 Daughters: Jill Rector of Henderson Christina Wilson of Calhoun 1 Sister: Jane Hunter of Trion, Georgia 2 Grandsons: Nathan Logsdon and Elijah Wilson 3 Granddaughters: Kelcie Dixon, Kendel Rector and Karrah Rector 1 Great-granddaughter: Evan Logsdon Several nieces and nephews Services will be 1PM Thursday September 6, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. David Turner and Rev. Wayne Nichols will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole. Visitation will be Thursday 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Danny Hunter, Nathan Logsdon, Elijah Wilson, Rodney Septer, Danny Ricketts and Dwight Crooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Braukhoff, Kelcie Dixon, Kendel Rector, Karrah Rector and Evan Logsdon. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Dixie United Methodist Church or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
