Alberta Leach Daugherty

Alberta (Whitaker) Daugherty, 77 of Sebree, KY passed away at 10:45 AM Saturday Feb. 12, 2011 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. She was born in McLean County, KY on May 8, 1933 to the late Van and Geneva (Baker) Whitaker. She was a Baptist. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Daugherty and a brother Donald Whitaker. She is survived by a son Earl and wife Ianthe Daugherty of Mortons Gap, KY 2 daughters; Brenda and husband Jimmy Piper of Greenville, KY Sue and husband Roger Elliott of Onton, KY 2 Sisters; Rachel Ullrich of Hammond, IN Verna Shoemaker of Cleveland, OH 2 brothers; Vernon Whitaker of Peoria, IL Ralph Whitaker of Madisonville, KY 5 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday Feb. 15, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Dr. Bob Hardison will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00 Am until service time at the funeral home. Nephews will be pallbearers.
