Aldena Kirby Collins

Aldena (Kirby) Collins, 61, of Henderson passed away at 2:00 AM Sunday December 18, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to James F. and Marie (Campbell) Kirby on July 8, 1950. She was a technology coordinator at South Heights Elementary School. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church and of Kentucky Education Association. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her sister Avanell Kirby. She is survived by her husband of 41 years Hubert L. Collins of Henderson Mother: Marie Kirby of Henderson 3 Children: Sara and husband Eric Douthit of Henderson Scott and wife Veronica Collins of Henderson Sharla and husband Ed Krohn of Evansville, Indiana 1 Sister: Betty and husband Kenneth Elliott of Henderson 6 Grandchildren: Madison, Lauren, Elena, Christian, Marley and Mason Several nieces and nephews Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday December 22 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday December 21 and 9:00 AM until service time Thursday. Pallbearers will be William Collins, Dennis Elliott, Thomas Elliott, Lance Kuder, Jim Pfeffer and David Cates. Memorial contributions may be made to Airline Baptist Church or The Gideons International.
