Alena Joyce Harper, 81, of Henderson, went to be with Jesus on August 6, 2024. Born on March 25, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Fred and Helen Harper.
Alena retired from South Central Bell. She was a big Elvis fan and loved spending time with family, especially her sisters, Patty and Brenda. Alena was a member of Fairview General Baptist Church in Bluff City, KY. Alena accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was in her thirties while living in Louisville, KY and followed Him the rest of her life.
In addition to her parents, Alena was preceded in death by her infant daughter, sisters, Brenda Stone and Patty Wolfe and brother, Jerry Harper.
She is survived by an aunt, Betty Harper, a cousin, Stacey Smith, nieces and nephews, Kristie (Tim) Steele, Scott (Tina) Wolfe, Cory Harper, Nathan (Bailey) Wolfe and Nicole Harper-Butler along with many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Ronnie (Debbie) Wolfe, special lifelong friend, Wanda Brown and many more special friends. And her bonus family, Nodar (Valadi) and Eika Samkharadze of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, August 9, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.
Visitation will be Friday, 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Pastor Dan Book will officiate with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Avery Harper, Riley Harper, Noah Butler, Payton Butler and Ashley Wolfe.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Wanda Brown, Stacey Smith and Rendi Durham.
