Alice Roberson Langston

Alice Roberson Langston, 89 died September 28, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years, Clarence Vernon “C.V” Langston, son Jeffrey B. Langston, sister Virginia Roberson and brother Jim Roberson.

She is survived by her daughter Laura Johnson (Charles), sister Barbara Fellows (Lloyd); Grandsons Brenton Langston (Molly), Spencer Johnson; granddaughter Kelsey Minton (Alex); step-granddaughter Elizabeth Ernspeker (Eric); two step-grandsons Noah Van Wolah and Wickliffe Van Wolah; two great-granddaughters Theadora Langston, Cypress Langston, nieces and nephews.

Alice was a member of Henderson’s First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Henderson County Homemakers, Kentucky State Homemakers Chorus, The Garden Club and Christian Womens Club. She was a graduate of Sturgis High School. She loved to travel and read and was an excellent seamstress and cook.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 4, 2024 at Henderson’s First Baptist Church with visitation from 9:00 AM until serve time at the church. The Rev. Alan Chamness will officiate.

Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brenton Langston, Spencer Johnson, Mark Hargis, Greg Gibson, Nibby Priest and Steve Schmelzer.

Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Henderson’s First Baptist Church Silver Tone Group or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
