Allen King

Allen King, 80 of Henderson passed away 2:15 PM Tuesday January 3, 2012 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born June 2, 1931 in Morganfield, KY to Ruby and Mayme Lue (Moman) King. He was a member and a deacon of the Liberty Baptist Church in Madisonville, KY. He was a founder and charter member of the Watson Lane Baptist Church in Henderson, a long time member of the Lions Club in Kentucky, Illinois and Ohio, the District Governor of the Lions Club in Illinois and also served on numerous boards of the Lions organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Phyllis King, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 12 years Joyce Clinton King of Henderson Daughter Dianne and husband Jake Siewert of Robards Son Tim King of Henderson Step Daughter Karen and husband Tommy Knight of Henderson Step Son Jeff and wife Kelly Clinton of Richmond, TX Sister Lucy Belle Davis of Cincinnati, OH 3 Grandchildren: Travis, Troy and Tanner Siewert 4 Great Grandchildren: AnnMichael, Reegan, Carter and Evan Siewert 5 Step Grandchildren: Tommy and Matt Knight Jordan, Cody and Tristan Clinton 5 Step Great Grandchildren: Cruz Hallmark, Gabby Knight, Thomas Knight, Morgan Knight and Hannah Knight Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday January 7 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Tondra Daugherty will officiate. Burial will be 2:00 PM at Big Ridge Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. Visitation will be 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday and 8:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Henderson Co. Diabetes Coalition.
