Allen Walter Thurman Jr.

Allen Walter Thurman Jr., 91 of Henderson passed away December 3, 2021, at his granddaughters’ home. Allen was a U.S Army Korean War veteran. He worked for Farrell’s restaurant has a cook and in later years he enjoyed sitting on his porch swinging while he enjoyed smoking his pipe. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Pearl Thurman; his daughters Ann Pate and Helen Wright. He is survived by his children Betty Kurtz, Melvin Harris, and Jerry Harris; numerous grandchildren and his caregivers Easter Loman, Miranda Hoskins, and Michelle Sandefur. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Thursday December 9, 2021, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Billy Balke officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Hopkinsville Kentucky. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
