Alma (Croxton) Harrison

Alma Ruth (Croxton) Harrison, 79, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at home.

She was born in Muhlenberg County on September 15, 1943 to the late Claude and Martha (Hardison) Cartwright.

Alma was a produce manager at IGA and retired from GAMCO. She attended Henderson General Baptist Church an

d was a previous member of Mt. Pleasant Church in Lewisburg. She enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, and was a big UK fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Holbert L. Croxton; second husband, Bill D. Harrison; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her four children, Larry Croxton (Beth) of Henderson, Lisa Risley (Randy) of Corydon, Nick Croxton (Cathy) of Henderson, and Elizabeth Beaven (Charles) of Henderson; 12 grandchildren, Barry, Derrick, Heather, Tara, Danielle, Dustin, Megan, Candace, Nick, Neal, Brad, and Ryan; 32 great grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Cartwright (Pat) of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Gary Shoulders.

Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, July 11 from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Barry Gish, Derrick Croxton, Dustin Overfield, Heather Croxton, Megan Johnson, Candace Fritz, and Danielle Overfield.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tara Miller, Nick Risley, Neal Risley, Brad Harrison, Ryan Harrison, and 32 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
