Anita Ranes Townsend

Anita (Ranes) Townsend, 72, of Hanson, KY passed away November 09, 2017 at her residence. She was born on October 14, 1945 to Doris and Dorothy (Riggs) Ranes in Hopkins County, KY. Anita was a member of Onton United Methodist Church.  She retired from GE in Madisonville, KY after more than 25 years, liked her flower garden and loved her Grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister; Alice Batts and 1 niece; Kimberly Batts.She is survived by her husband, Larry Townsend of Hanson, 2 sons; Kirby (Tracy) Townsend of Slaughters, KY and Keenan (Tracy) Townsend of Slaughters, KY, 4 Grandchildren: Tori Townsend, Kaylee Townsend, Kenzie Townsend and Kaden Townsend; 1 brother, Larry Ranes of Onton, KY; nieces and nephews.  Service will be Monday, November 13 at 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Pastor Marty Robertson officiating.  Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, November 12 and Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Slaughters Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kirby Townsend, Keenan Townsend, Tracy Townsend, Brod Batts, Gene Stills and Kevin Townsend.  Honorary Pallbearers; Mike Copley, Charles Batts, Kaden Townsend, Sharon Copley, Tori Townsend, Kenzie Townsend, Tracy Townsend and Kaylee Townsend.Memorial contributions may be made to Onton United Methodist Church Building Fund.Online condolences may be made at tomblinsonfuneralhome.com
