Annie L. Newman Buchanan

Annie L. Newman Buchanan, 89 of Henderson passed away Saturday August 8, 2015 at 4:27PM at Redbanks Nursing Home. She was born in Hebbardsville, KY on November 20, 1925 to Carl and Mary Jo (Blandford) Tapp. Annie was a retired cook from 7th Street School and a member of Immanuel Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband Charles Buchanan, Jr., 2nd husband Wayman Newman, 1 son Edward Buchanan, 1 brother Louis Tapp and 1 sister Martha Duckworth. Survivors include 1 son: Dennis Buchanan and wife Bonnie of Henderson 1 Daughter-in-law: Judy Buchanan of Henderson 2 Sisters: Sue Walker of Henderson Marilyn Fritts of Henderson 4 Grandchildren: Jason Buchanan and wife Jonna, Rene Biever and husband Nick, Mandi Buchanan and Stacey Williams and husband Josh 5 Great-grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday August 13, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Dr. Ken Gazaway will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8PM and Thursday 9AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clay Walker, Chad Walker, John Polley, Wyatt Biever, Steven Skaggs and Randy Tapp. Honorary pallbearer will be Bryce Biever. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
