Anothony "Bobo" Dixon

Anthony “Bobo” Dixon, age 73, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on August 22, 2026, at 12:31 p.m. at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Anthony "Bobo" was born on March 2, 1953, to the late Amanda Brook Dixon McKinney and the late Andrew Dixon Sr. He gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and was baptized under the pastorship of Rev. P.R. Brown. Anthony was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

He worked for Branscum’s Bottling Company in Evansville, Indiana, until his retirement. Anthony was a quiet and kind person who loved people and would do anything for anyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him.

Anthony was a faithful and helpful member of the House of Faith Church under the pastorship of Elder Samuel Happoldt, where he worked alongside his brother-in-law. He would often accompany the pastor, helping pick up food and prepare meals for distribution to those in need. His generosity and willingness to serve touched the lives of many. He had many friends who loved and respected him, and his service to others will be deeply missed. He will be especially missed by his sister, Rev Cassandra Happoldt whom they spent a lot of time together.

Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family, including his daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He especially cherished the time he spent with his daughter, Cassandra Happoldt, whom he affectionately called “Dangerous” because of her smart and mischievous personality.

Anthony “Bobo” Dixon was preceded in death by his parents, Amanda Brook Ryson McKinney and Andrew Dixon Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his numerous loved ones, including his son, Anthony Tony Dixon; 2 grandchildren, Issac and Alesha Dixon; his sister, Rev Cassandra Happoldt (Rev. Samuel Happoldt); nieces, including Theresa “Terry” Happoldt and Cassandra Denise Happoldt, whom on of his doctors said was dangerous, he said she was so smart medically she was dangerous, nothing got be her or her sister; nephew Samuel Happoldt IV; Larry Happoldt; and a host of cousins and friends.

Anthony’s kind heart, quiet spirit, generosity, and willingness to help others will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love and memories he leaves behind will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Funeral Service will be on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on the same day at the Funeral Home from 12:30 until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
