Anthony "Bobo" Dixon

Anthony “Bobo” Dixon, age 73, of Henderson, Kentucky, transitioned from his earthy home to his eternal home, on August 22, 2026, at 12:31 p.m. at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Anthony "Bobo" was born on March 2, 1953, to the late Amanda Brooks Dixon McKinney and the late Andrew Dixon Jr.

He joined First Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was baptized under the pastorship of Rev. T.R. Brown.

He worked for Berardin Bottling Company in Evansville, Indiana, until his retirement. He was a quiet, meek person who loved people and would do anything for anyone.

Anthony was a helpful member of the Alms of Faith Church under the pastorship of Elder Samuel Happoldt Sr., his brother in law. He would go with the pastor to pickup food and help prepare boxes for distribution.

Anthony had many friends who he thought alot of. His sense of humor will be deeply missed by his friends, nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his devoted, loving, caring sister Rev. Cassandra Happoldt who spent alot of time with Anthony.

Anthony “Bobo” Dixon was preceded in death by his parents, Amanda Brooks Dixon McKinney and Andrew Dixon Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Tony Dixon; 3 grandchildren, Issac, Adriana, and Aaliyah Dixon; his sister, Rev Cassandra Happoldt (Rev. Samuel Happoldt), nieces, including Rev. Theresa Terry and Cassandra Denise Happoldt, whom one of his doctors called dangerous. He said she was so smart medically she was dangerous, nothing got by her or her sister, nephew Samuel Happoldt III; Lavelle Happoldt; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on the same day at the Funeral Home from 12:30 until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
