Arthur Hayden Carver, 93, of Slaughters passed away Friday March 8, 2024, at his home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.
He was born on February 11, 1931, in Slaughters to the late JE “Pete” and Flora (Craig) Carver.
Hayden was a retired airplane mechanic and a lifelong farmer. He was a devoted member and Deacon of Slaughters Baptist Church and member of the Gideon’s International. Having served in the US Air Force, Hayden was a proud Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bettye Jean Carver in 2023, five siblings Curtis Carver, Perry Carver, Tommy Carver, Ruth Parker and Raymond Carver.
Survivors include two children Kerry Carver (Lisa) of Augusta, GA, Jonathan Carver (Kathy) of Slaughters; five grandchildren Katie Carver of Dayton, TN, Olivia Carver of Orlando, FL, Anna Carver of Augusta, GA, Payton Carver of Bowling Green, KY, Rachel Carver of Slaughters; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 15, 2024 at Slaughters Baptist Church with Bro. Brad Tucker officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday 4-7 PM at Slaughters Baptist Church and Friday 9 AM until service time at the church.
Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Payton Carver, Craig Carver, Larry Parker, Mark Parker, Joshua Bumpus, and Jacob Bumpus.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Gideon’s International or Slaughters Baptist Church Youth Group.
