Ava Marie Bartley

Ava, “Mimi, Recie” Bartley, 67 of Henderson, KY passed tragically and unexpectedly Monday, October 25, 2021. Ava, born June 16, 1954 is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Melba (Mitchell) Barton, her “other” mother, Flossie Rednour, and grandmother, Meemaw Mitchell. Ava worked diligently, putting herself through school, fulfilling her passion helping others as a RN greater than 20 years. Mental Health and Wellness was Ava’s life, shown by her contribution and creation of an adolescent unit at Mulberry Center/ Wellborn Clinic. Ava’s proudest accomplishment was her family, who she loved fully and fiercely. Ava is survived by her daughter, Angela Bartley; son, Gerald Smith and granddaughters, Alexandria and Aven; two brothers, Scotty (Tonya) and Steve (Stephanie) Barton; and a host of bonus children and grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ava’s life Friday, October 29, 2021 with visitation from 1-6 and a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. We ask guests to wear shades of blue to honor Ava's favorite color.
