Barbara Ruth Armstrong

Barbara Ruth Armstrong, 75 of Henderson passed away October 2, 2017 at her residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.  She was born September 22, 1942 to John and Barbara Aten in East St. Louis, IL.  She had worked at Deaconess Hospital as a RN and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vernon Armstrong, Jr., 3 children; Kimberly Stamper of Flat Rock, MI, Gregory Armstrong and Michael Armstrong both of Henderson, 1 brother; Randy Aten of MI, 2 grandchildren,1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, October 5, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Bro. Brian Whitman will officiate.  Visitation will be October 5, 9:30 AM until service time at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Cemetery in Flat Rock, MI. There will also be a funeral service in Flat Rock, MI, 6:00 PM, October 7 at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home and visitation will be 4:00 PM until service time at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
