Barbara Anne (Eblen) Brown, 91 years of age, passed away on December 13th, 2023, in Henderson, Kentucky. She was born on October 1st, 1932, in Robards, Kentucky to a close-knit family. As the youngest of three sisters, family was always her greatest treasure. Her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother steered her through life’s challenges and was one of the reasons for her enduring faith. Barbara was a proud member of First United Methodist Church in Henderson. Her family and loving friends will remember her most by her kind and gentle spirit.
Barbara was preceded in death by her two parents, S.E. and Alvatine H. Eblen; sisters Margaret Moore and Ida B. Royster.
Survivors include daughter, Robin O’Nan (Phil) of Starkville, MS; two sons, Keith Brown (Judy) of Glasgow, KY, and Eric Brown (Tracy) of Henderson; five grandchildren, Seth O’Nan (Anna), Meagan O’Nan (Clare), Aaron O’Nan (Lyndsey) all of Starkville, MS, Ryan Brown of New York, NY, Lilly Brown of Nashville, TN, and Bailey Brown of Jackson, MS; five great-grandchildren, Ryder, Keeley, Etta, Merit, and Suttyn O’Nan, all of Starkville, MS.
Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church in Henderson on Saturday, December 16th from 10am-12pm. The funeral services will follow at the church. Internment will be at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson with a private family ceremony.
Tomblinson Funeral Homem, Henderson Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrance be made in the form of contributions to First United Methodist Church in Henderson.
