Barbara Sue "Memaw Sue" Crook

Barbara Sue (Memaw Sue) Crook, 78, of Corydon, KY passed away on April 26, 2017 at Methodist Hospital. She was born on March 28, 1939 in Henderson County to Robert and Gladys (Nally) Shelton. She had worked at Audubon Hosiery Mill and Audubon Toll Plaza and was a member of Corydon Missionary Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed being outside, reading her Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jackie "Jack" Crook (2015), infant son Robert Benjamin Crook, and brother Bobby Shelton. She is survived by her son Jackie Gene Crook (Lisa) of Corydon; daughter Tammy Pinkston (Ricky) of Corydon; brother Donald G. Shelton of Henderson; 2 sisters: Phyllis Boldry and Larraine Embrey both of Henderson; 4 grandchildren: Shanon Thomson (Michael), Brennen Crook (Natasha), Dagney Hargis (Adam), and Darrick Pinkston and fiancé Katie Floyd; 4 great grandchildren: Avery, Ryder, Aniston "Nicole", and Charlie; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rick O'Daniel officiating at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Pallbearers will be Darrick Pinkston, Brennen Crook, Michael Thomson, Adam Hargis, Tommy Ray Embrey, and Marty McGaha. Visitation will be held on Friday 3:00PM-8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Corydon Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be taken in the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice or Corydon Missionary Baptist Church.
