Barbara Fulcher, 86, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 25, 2024, under the compassionate care of St. Anthony’s Hospice, with her beloved daughter by her side.
Barbara was born in Morganfield, Kentucky, to the late Robert and Minnie Bell (Duff) Murray. She was a woman of strong faith, practicing as a devoted member of the Baptist church. Barbara was also an author, having written a book about the history of Henderson County schools, a testament to her dedication to education and community.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nelson Fulcher; her children, Samuel Fulcher and Dianna Fulcher; and her sisters, Nadine Deitz and Nellie Hazelwood.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Wagoner; her brothers, Eddie Shuttleworth (Ruthie) and Larry Shuttleworth (Carla); as well as extended family and friends who will deeply miss her warmth, wisdom, and enduring love.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home.
Barbara’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to St. Anthony’s Hospice for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice in Barbara’s honor.
Her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
