Barbara Jean Stone

Barbara Jean Stone, 73, of Henderson, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Hopkinsville, KY on July 17, 1947 to the late George and Lillie (Simms) Day. Barbara owned rental property and restored furniture. She was a member of Lighthouse Outreach Church in Henderson and loved her little dog, Brandy Lou. She was very supportive of organizations such as, the 700 Club, St. Jude, and New Hope Animal Rescue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Stone and her grandson, Justin Jewell. She is survived by her son, Earl Jewell and wife, Gail of Henderson; five stepchildren; sister, Mary Lou Blake and husband, Roger of Henderson; brothers, Ike Day and George Day and wife, Rhonda, all of Henderson; grandson, Jason Jewell and wife, Kasey; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26 at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel with Bro. Albert Winters. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 26 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to New Hope Animal Rescue and St. Jude.
