Barbara Gail Turner Barbara Gail Turner, 56, of Slaughters passed away on January 7, 2015 at Jenny Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville. She was born in Hopkins County on April 1, 1958 to the late Lonnie and Margaret Faughn Hook. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Gary Thomas Brooks. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Turner of Slaughters, her daughter Donna (Jeremy) Denton of Sebree, her son Shawn Thomas Brooks of Madisonville, three stepchildren, James (Stephanie) Turner of Owensboro, Bryan (Cristy) Turner of Waverly, and Krystal Turner of Henderson, sisters Shirley May Williams of Madisonville, Connie Bergeron of Madisonville, Rita Oldham of Madisonville, Patricia Wheeler of Arkansas, brother James Hook of Madisonville, 4 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:00 on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel at with Brother Homer Main officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Slaughters. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Denton, Craig Denton, Shawn Brooks, James Turner, Bryan Turner, and Donna Denton. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Slaughters is handling the arrangements.
