Barbara Ann Wright

Barbara Ann (Jackson) Wright, 87 of Henderson, KY passed away Saturday March 17, 2018 under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice at the Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born on September 13, 1930 in Grand Tower, IL to the late Leslie Kendall and Mary Virginia (Springer) Jackson. Barbara was a member of Grace Point Baptist Church and had served as pianist and organist at Audubon Baptist Church for many years. She was retired from the accounting department of Big Rivers Electric Corp. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Orville “Jim” Wright, daughter-in-law; Brenda Wright, grandson; Jamie Wright, 2 sisters; Florence Pirtle and Marion Busso and one brother; Robert Jackson. She is survived by 3 children;                        Leslie (Gail) Dempsey of Crystal City, Mo                                           Kenny (Belinda) Wright of Sebree, KY                                         Terry Wright of Murphysboro, IL   7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Grace Point Baptist Church in Henderson, KY.  Rev. Andy Weaver will officiate. Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower, IL. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 at Grace Point Baptist Church and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be David Wright, Craig Wright, Brad Dempsey, Dennis Gross, Chase Wright and Zach Wright. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, KY is handling arrangements.
