Barney Lou Hillyard

Barney Lou Hillyard, 76 ,of Robards, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021. She was born June 1, 1944 in Clay, KY to the late James Lloyd and Jimmie Tomasson. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star in Sebree. She attended Robards Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with those she loved. She also loved her dogs and cat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Barnes Hillyard and her niece, Nancy Elizabeth Ravenscroft Eaden. She is survived by daughter, Amber Crews (James) of Henderson and adopted daughter, Donna Goodwin (Jeff) of New Concord, KY; sister, Alice Ravenscroft of Oklahoma; nieces, Tina Creutz (Patrick) of Oklahoma, Melodie Ravenscroft of Oklahoma, Debbie Goldsberry of Robards, Annette Schroeder of Clay, Rhonda Terrell (Lonnie) of Diamond, and Dianna Stone of Wheatcroft; nephews, James Ravenscroft of Oklahoma, Gary Lloyd Hillyard (Joy) of Little Dixie, Doyle Hillyard (Shellie) of Little Dixie, and Phillip Hillyard (Shantay) of Cairo; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many that called her Mom and Grandmom. Funeral service will be Monday, May 10 at 2 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Jeff Hesley officiating. Burial will follow at Watson-Thornsberry Cemetery in Cairo. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeff Goodwin, James Knott, Coty Hefner, Donovon Hefner, Tuder Tapp, Mike Penry, Jeremiah Arnett, and Zack Morris.
