Barry Gene Cates

Barry Gene Cates, Sr. age 47 of Madisonville, KY passed away at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday 04-20-2011 at the Methodist Hospital Union County in Morganfield, KY. He was born September 28, 1963 in Madisonville, KY to Calvin and Martha Jean Daughtery Cates. He was a member of the United Church of Jesus Christ in Madisonville, KY and he worked as a laborer at Madisonville Tire and Retreading. He was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his wife Becky Cates of Madisonville, KY; one son Barry Cates, Jr., of White Plains, KY; one daughter Keesha Hendrix of Dawson Springs, KY; two step-sons Tim Warner of Madisonville, KY, Josh Warner of White Plains, KY; one step-daughter Stormy Warner of Madisonville, KY, two grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday 04-24-11 at the United Church of Jesus Christ in Madisonville, KY with Bro. Shawn Dean officiating. There will be no burial. His visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday 04-23-11 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY. There will be no visitation on Sunday.
