Barry M. Dabbs

Barry M. Dabbs, 76 of Henderson passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

He was born July 9, 1946, in Ashbyburg, KY to George and Bobbie Jean (Fridy) Dabbs.

Barry was an owner-operator OTR truck driver. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a dog handler, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was an avid UK basketball fan and coached youth baseball for several years. Barry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Barry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Tommie Ann Dabbs; two sons, Michael Dabbs and Brad Dabbs (Brandi) all of Henderson; one sister, Ann Vandewater (Bob) of Sturgis; four grandchildren, Barry Dabbs, Drew Dabbs, Cody Dabbs, and Bailey Jenkins; two great grandchildren, Autumn Reese Dabbs and Penelope Kate Dabbs; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, October 24, 2022, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Rev. Dwight Jackson officiating.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, Sunday and 12:00 PM until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Onton Cemetery.

Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40 Burial Detail and Honor Guard.
