Barry Emerson Gish

Barry Emerson Gish, a dedicated lab technician at Teknor Apex and a kind-hearted individual, passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 60. Barry, known for his unwavering spirit and love for family, held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. 

He was a proud member of the Moose Lodge #732 and a devoted supporter of the Sportsman Club. Barry found joy in the camaraderie of friends and the thrill of sports, particularly as a passionate fan of Kentucky basketball and the Dallas Cowboys. His enthusiasm for life extended into the love of gold, which served as a symbol of his enduring love for family and friends.

Barry is preceded in death by his father, James (Macky) Varble, his sister Crystal Carter-Halstead, and his nephew Shaun Michael Gish. 

Barry is survived by his beloved mother, Lucy Varble, and his cherished son, Barry Gish; his brother, Allen Carter (Marla); and sisters Robin Meadows (Chris) and Jama Robison (Shawn); as well as a cherished granddaughter, Zoey Hall. He will be remembered fondly by his lifelong best friend, Rhonda Harper, and by numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by his kindness.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Barry during the visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 1:30 PM until the time of service. A funeral service will be held the same day at 4:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home with Brother Gary Shoulders officiating.

Barry's spirit will forever be cherished, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
