Barry Joe Russell

Barry Joe Russell, 62, of Henderson, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021 at his home. He was born in Henderson on June 27, 1959 to Ann (Childers) and Gary Russell. Barry was a 1977 Henderson County High School Graduate and a member of Zion Baptist Church. He was a proud US Navy Veteran having served in Desert Storm. Barry loved all sports, especially UK Basketball, and he officiated high school football and softball games for many years. He is survived by his children, Evan Russell of Effingham, IL and Ryan Russell of Boonville, IN; parents, Ann and Gary Russell of Henderson; sisters, Joni Beals (Morris) of Henderson and Julie Coffman (Scott) of Henderson; his aunt, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28 at Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Spivey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 27 from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 28 from 9-11 a.m., both at Zion Baptist Church.
