Benjamin Franklin “Dutch” Grossman, 88 of Henderson, KY passed away peacefully at home April 25, 2019. He was born on April 30, 1930 to the late Charles Homer Grossman and Janie Gish Grossman. Dutch served the National Guard during his youth and was retired from Inland Container where he was awarded perfect attendance for over 50 years of employment as well as being an honoree Kentucky Colonel member. Dutch was a devoted family man, always putting his wife of 69 years, children and grandchildren at the center of his priorities. Many described Dutch as a man of “great character” always offering a great smile and a twinkle in his eyes to those that met him. He worked hard to provide for his family and gave them a sturdy foundation. In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Nellie Irene “Dolly” Grossman, a daughter; Kathy Lynn Hatfield, two brothers; Charles “Red” Grossman, Lee Roy “Shorty” Grossman; one sister; Mary Frances Womack. He is survived by three children; Charles Franklin Grossman, Deborah Gail Grossman and Tina Dawn Grossman, seven grandchildren; Anne Marie Grossman, Frances Rene` Martin, Charles Matthew Grossman, Shantel`-Simpson, Micah Dixon, Keylee Shea` Smith and Mason Cole Smith, nine great grandchildren. Two brothers; Gary Wayne Grossman, Carl Edward Grossman , five sisters; Gladys Lee “Mickie” Cox, Barbara Elaine Melton, Dorothy DeVault, Shirley Ann Lichtenberger, Margaret Louise Hall. Services will be private.
