Bernie Bishop

September 4, 1943 — February 1, 2024

Bernie Gayle Bishop, 80, of Henderson passed away Thursday February 1, 2024 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

He was born in Centertown, Kentucky on September 4, 1943 to the late Charles and Lenora (Batson) Bishop. Bernie was a Railroad Engineer and a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed taking care of birds and was an avid UK Fan.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Brenda; two children Michael Bishop (Cassie Cooper), Michelle Griffin; siblings Ann, Judy, Shelia, Debbie; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12:00 PM Monday February 5, 2024 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. Jeff Burke officiating.

Visitation will be Monday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard.
