Betty Cates

Betty Hartford Grisham Cates, 87 of Slaughters, passed away on June 22, 2016 at her home. She was born in Evansville, IN on June 6, 1929 to the late Bernard Hartford and Maudia Crowley Hartford. She was a Baptist and a member of Zion Brick Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Walter Hartford and Ray Hartford and sisters Eva Maraman and Edna Carver her daughter, Karla Grisham Guy and her husband Karl K. Grisham. She is survived by her children: Ray Allen Grisham Rebecca Lynn Epley Randa Hallmark Amy Walker and husband Michael Sister: Estelle Hartford Luck Brothers: Emerson Hartford Jack Hartford 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Services will be on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Slaughters with Brother Andrew Sexton officiating. Burial will be at Brick Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
