Betty Joyce (Vanover) Edwards, 80, of Henderson passed away August 7, 2014 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson. She was born August 20, 1933 in Henderson to the late Rudy and Lois Elizabeth (Vaughn) Vanover. She worked as a cook in the Henderson County School System. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church in Henderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John H. Edwards, a son, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, and one grandson Frank Martin. She is survived by 2 daughters: Sue Martin and husband Larry of Smith Mills, KY Cindy Sauer and husband Mike of Geneva, KY 6 sisters: Frances Rone and husband Larry of Smith Mills, KY Margaret Williams and husband Kenny of Henderson, KY May Lambdin and husband Ed of Sebree, KY Vinnie Phillips and husband Johnnie B. of Henderson, KY Janie West and husband Coleman of Robards, KY Eldean Whitledge of Henderson, KY 1 brother: Ed Vanover and wife Betty of Henderson, KY 2 grandchildren: Becky Rigdon and John Sauer 3 great-grandchildren: Peyton Sauer, Breckin Sauer, and Justin Rigdon Nieces and nephews Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday August 9, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Friday August 8, 2014 and 9:00 AM-service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Airline Baptist Church.
