Betty Lou Ellis

Betty Lou (Leath) Ellis, 69 of Slaughters passed away Friday June 14, 2013 in Madisonville. She was born on March 15, 1944 in Russellville, KY to Dayton and Lillian (Howser) Leath. She was a homemaker. Betty enjoyed bowling, fishing and being a mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thurman Ellis and brother Clinton Leath. She is survived by 2 daughters: Laura Kemp of Memphis, TN Beth Stutler of Madisonville 1 Son: Wade Ellis of Madisonville 3 Step-daughters: Debbie Wilson of Onton, KY Phyllis Hodges of Ashbyburg, KY Abby Ellis of Sebree, KY 3 Brothers: Wayne Leath of Franklin, KY Doug Leath of Bowling Green, KY Howser Leath of Henderson 8 Grandchildren 6 Great-grandchildren Services will be 12:00 PM Friday June 21, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Rev. Dennis Mayfield will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 4-7PM and Friday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society or Hopkins County Relay for Life.
