Betty Sue Lancaster Glassco

Betty Sue Lancaster Glassco, 86, of Smith Mills, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on March 3, 2026, under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. She was born on September 10, 1939, to Neil and Grace Lancaster in Muhlenberg County.

Betty Sue worked as a CNA at Redbanks Nursing Home for several years. She was the best Granny ever to her grandchildren, never missing their activities and events. Holidays and sleepovers were spent at Granny and Papaw Jim’s house.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, leaving us with the gift of many treasured memories.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Glassco, two daughters, Kathy Fleeger and Kim Renee Martin, one sister, Mary Majors, and two brothers, Howard Lancaster and J. T. Lancaster.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Veazey (Terry) of Henderson, a son, James N. Martin (Tammy) of Henderson; grandchildren Kristen Veazey of Charlotte, North Carolina, Nathan Veazey of Henderson, Justin Veazey (Grace Lauzon) of Lexington, Heather Byrne (Tony) of Henderson, Steven Martin (Tiffany Stovall) of Madisonville, Dakota Martin (Madison Haire) of Spottsville, and great-grandchildren Nya, Abel, Abbie and Wyatt.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 12:00 pm, at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel, with visitation on Thursday, March 5, 4:00-7:00 pm, and on Friday, March 6, 10:00 am until service time. Dr. Steve Custer will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Veazey, Justin Veazey, Tony Byrne, Nya Watson, Steven Martin, and Dakota Martin.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Anthony’s Hospice and caregivers, Robbin Pippin, Patty Payne, and Jammie Salinas.
