Betty Lou (Banks) Majors, 80, of Morganfield, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2025, at Lucy Smith King Care Center.
Betty worked for many years at Gibbs Die Casting and later at Service Tool and Plastics. She also spent time as a bartender at the Redhorse Saloon in Reed, Kentucky.
Betty had a spirit and spunk like no other—she was sassy, full of life, and always had to have the last word.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl J. Majors; parents, James William Banks and Beulah Agnus Mills Banks Wilson; stepfather, Shedrick Wilson; infant brother, William Aaron Banks; sisters, Clara Banks Rickard and Susan Murray; brothers-in-law, Fredrick Holaday Sr., Donnie Majors, Ray Majors, and Greg Majors; sisters-in-law, Joyce Embry and Ruby Cornell; son-in-law, Joseph Coney; nephew, David Skaggs Jr.; niece, Etoy Deanna Holaday Blandford; father- and mother-in-law, Rubin and Flora Majors; and grandmother, Flora Murrell Banks.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Majors Coney; granddaughter, Angel Dawn Sturtz; sisters, Patty Holaday and Lana Gale Overby (Harold); brother, Harvey Ralph Banks (Kay); and her "arguing buddy" and niece, Amy Long (John). She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in her honor.
