Betty Childers Strong

Betty Childers Strong, 76 of Henderson passed away Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice. She was born in Manitou, Kentucky on February 8, 1939 to William and Dixie (Cates) Frederick. She worked in retail sales and was a member of Henderson General Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband William “Bill” Childers, 2nd husband Joe Strong and son-in-law Mitchell E. Tarr Survivors include 1 daughter: Janet Tarr and companion Russell Straight of Henderson 1 Brother: James Curtis Frederick of Yuma, Arizona 1 Grandson: Mitch Tarr 1 Great-grandson: Cole Tarr Several Nieces and Nephews Caregiver: Glenda Parker Services will be 11:00 AM Friday August 21, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel Pastor Chad Hensley will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8PM and Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Henderson General Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Mitch Tarr, Freddie Gregory, Jerry Yates, Paul Roberts and Jim Lancaster.
