Betty Lou Thurby, 81, of Murray, KY, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at her home.

Betty was born February 17, 1941 in Henderson, KY to the late Robert and Grace Rednour. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and helping on the farm with Cattle.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Bobbie Vaught; grandson, Colton Thurby and great granddaughter, Anna Mae Thurby.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Henry Thurby; children, Tim Vaught of Hardin, KY, Cathy Smith (Mike) of Murray, KY, Ray Thurby (Bonnie) of Aurora, KY; sisters, Shirley Hagan of Henderson, KY, Beverly Austin (Jerry) of Hanson, KY; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 15, 2022, 12:00 PM, at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel with Bro. Lester McHatton officiating. Burial will follow at Cash Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michelle Smith Moss, Katie Smith, Jesse Vaught, Robert Hustedde, Joe Futrell, Scott Zoeckler, Jordan Faughn and Bo Moss.

Visitation will be Thursday 10:00 AM– 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
