Betty Jean Watson

Betty Jean (Stone) Watson, 79 of Henderson passed away April 19, 2015 at Redbanks. She was born January 14, 1936 in Henderson, KY to John Wesley Stone and Ruby (O’Bryant) Stone DeLong. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Smith Mills. Betty was a homemaker and had been a sitter for St. Anthony’s Hospice. She was also a member of the Silver & Gold Club at Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers; John Wesley Stone, Jr., David B. Stone, Thomas Stone and Marlin Stone. She is survived by husband of 62 years Charles “Charlie” Watson 2 daughters: Sheila Wilson and her husband Arnold of Henderson Donna Stebbins and her husband Jeff of Henderson 4 grandchildren: Arnie Wilson, Crissy Crowe, Andrew Turner and Bradley Blair 7 great grandchildren 1 brother: Earl DeLong of Carmi, IL 1 sister: Ann Moyers of Woodbine, MD Nieces and nephews Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 23 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Keith Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
