Bill E. Brewer

Bill E. Brewer, 87, of Henderson passed away Monday January 11, 2016 at his home under the care of St. Anthonys Hospice. He was born in Crittenden County, Kentucky on February 18, 1928 to Russell E. and Agnes (Winders) Brewer. He was retired from Sureway and was a member of Community Baptist Church. He was a member of the Union County Masonic Lodge and a Kentucky Colonel. Bill played in several bands in Hopkins, Henderson and Webster County. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a good friend to many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Brewer, 1 sister Betty Waddell and 1 brother Bobby Brewer. Survivors include 1 daughter Patricia Bartlett and her husband David of Henderson 2 sisters: Anna Lois Butts of Sturgis Janie Ray of Morganfield 1 Brother: Forrest Brewer of Crittenden County 2 Grandchildren: Mellisa Sandefur and husband Jason Jordan Bartlett and companion Kara Mantooth Special friend: Peggy Nantz Nieces and nephews Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday January 14, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Dr. Tim Hobbs will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8PM and Thursday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be 3:00 PM Thursday January 14, 2016 in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mattoon, Kentucky. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthonys Hospice or Community Baptist Building Fund.
