Bivian Bee "Ms. Punkin" (Loney) Hancock, 80, of Henderson passed away Thursday January 12, 2017 at Methodist Hospital. She was born in Henderson on September 14, 1936 to Chester and Lena Mae (Williams) Loney. Bivian graduated from Holy Name School. She retired from the Henderson County School system as a bus driver after 51 years and loved taking care of her kids on the bus. Bivian enjoyed going to the racetrack to watch the horses that her family trained. She also enjoyed watching UK and U of L basketball games. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delvin O. Hancock, Sr. in 2004 and 1 brother Rex Loney. Survivors include 3 sons Delvin O. Hancock, Jr. and wife Libby, John A. Hancock and wife Donna Gail, Jack L. Hancock, Sr. and wife Joan all of Henderson, 1 brother Phillip Don Loney of Henderson, 2 sisters Beatrice Stanley and Ann Marie Buckman both of Henderson, 7 grandchildren Dana Hancock, Ashley Hillyard, Jack L. Hancock, Jr., Natalie Broadhurst, Jake Broadhurst, Scottie Goben, Brandy Garrett, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be at noon Monday January 16, 2017 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Larry McBride will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-6PM and Monday 9:00-11:30AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Pallbearers will be Jack Hancock, Sr., Jack Hancock, Jr., Jake Broadhurst, Shaun Michael Stone, Mark Loney and Josh Hillyard. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Hillyard, Dana Hancock, Jr. Stanley and Alex Martinez. Expressions of sympathy make take the form of contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
