Bob W Gray

Bob W. Gray 78, of Henderson passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family while listening to his favorite hymns.  Bob was born in Sturgis, Kentucky to the late William Boyd Gray and Frankye Sauer Gray Kennedy. He retired as a general manager with Dempewolf Ford.  Bob’s first love was his family followed closely by his love for his fur babies.  He enjoyed gardening and relaxing on his “veranda” with the company of his friends and family.  Everyone knew him as a “hell of a cook,” and his hospitality was endless.  His greatest contribution to any conversation was his “dad jokes,” which are sure to be carried on for generations to come.  Above all things his greatest source of pride and happiness came from his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren left to cherish and carry on his legacy.   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Pauline Baker, William Boyd Gray, Dorothy Paris, and Roy Mason Gray.Bob is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 40 years Sheila Gray; his children Leanne West, Bobby Wayne Gray Jr., Cathrina Jean Simpson (Bobby), Kelly Raye Knode (Jeff), Mendy Lane Aud (James), Brea Whitney Gray-Smith (Brendan); his sister Ruby Joy Forker; his grandchildren Maranda, Kati, Ashley, Brittani, Abbigail, Charity, Megan, Tyler, Paige, Austin, Spencer, Aaron, Ellee, Harrison, Laurel, Landen;  9 Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2:30 PM Wednesday June 3, 2020 at New Hope Pentecostal Church with Rev. Tony Payne officiating. Visitation will be 12:PM until service time Wednesday.   Expressions of sympathy may take the form of flowers or donations to New Hope Pentecostal Church.   Pallbearers will be Bobby Simpson, Jeff Knode, James Aud, Brendan Smith, Tyler Knode, and Aaron Gray.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Bosse and Bobby Wayne Gray Jr.
