Bobby "Bob" J. Finley

Bobby "Bob" J. Finley, 96, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Heritage Center in Evansville.

Bob was born in Carmi, Illinois, on December 5, 1929, to the late Clifford Roy and Geneva L. (Stults) Finley. He was a mechanic and a member of Local 181. Bob was very mechanically inclined and held several patents throughout his life. He especially enjoyed reading, with Popular Mechanics among his favorite publications. He also loved dancing and learning about homeopathic remedies and practices.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Lula (Cornett) Finley, and his son, Bobby "Finn" W. Finley.

He is survived by four children, Pamela Kay Gooch, Jeffery Allen Finley (Jodie), Lisa Berntsen (Lloyd), and Theresa Robinson (John); daughter-in-law, Sally Finley; six grandchildren, Emily Ferguson (Sam), Michael Gooch, Jenny Challa (Ram), Andrew Berntsen, Victoria Weathers (Cameron), and Aaron Robinson; and three great-grandchildren, Jiddu Challa, Adeline Weathers, and Owen Ferguson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel, with Rev. Kevin Stone officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
