Bobby Wilson Doom, 76 of Henderson passed away 10:47 PM August 31, 2014 at Western KY Veterans Center. He was born May 7, 1938 in Lyon Co., KY to Woodrow Wilson and Vera Mae (Sizemore) Doom. Bobby was a longtime member of Zion Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a retired owner/operator of Doom & Doom Trucking Co., co-owner of Cradle’N Teen Shop / Bann Enterprises. and had formerly worked at Don Mahurin Chevrolet where he was truck manager. He was also a former Henderson City Commissioner, and a U. S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his father Woodrow Wilson Doom He is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara Ann (Sivits) Doom of Henderson Mother: Vera Mae Doom of Corydon 1 daughter: Kim Holeman and husband David of Henderson 2 grandchildren: Abby Holeman Cameron Holeman both of Henderson 1 brother; Joe Doom and his wife Carolyn of Henderson Nieces and nephews Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Bro. Mark Galloway and Joey Davenport will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00PM-8:00PM Wednesday and 9:00 AM until service time Thursday at Zion Baptist Church. All visitation will be at the church. Pallbearers will be Bill Garrard, Larry Parrish, Philip Vaughan, Harry Bennett, Terry Haynes, Bob Duncan, Dan Williams, Johnny Hancock and Dick Schofield. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Zion Baptist Church Building Fund or Diabetes Association. Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements.
