Bobby M. Roland

Bobby M. Roland, 88, of Slaughters, died Wednesday, April 16th, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on June 2, 1925 to the late John K. Roland and Ruby Hancock Roland of Webster County. He was married to his spouse, Irene Crowley for 64 years. He was a retired branch manager of Detroit Diesel Heavy Equipment where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1985. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister. Survivors: Wife – Irene Crowley Roland of Slaughters Son – Dennis (Jennifer) Roland of Slaughters Sisters - Shirley Nance of Onton Wanda Qualls of Sebree Sue Thomasson of Onton Brothers – Ronnie Roland of Sebree Jack Roland of Clarks Summit, PA Grandchildren – Chad Roland of Henderson Jay (Chrissy) Roland of Slaughters Great Grandchildren – Reagan and Ryan Roland Services will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel on Saturday, April 19th at 11:00 A.M with Brother Marty Robertson and Dr. H.O. Pat Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, April 18th from 4-8:00 P.M. and on Saturday 9:00 until service time at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Tommie Thomasson, Kerry Thomasson, Bruce Benson, Jeremy Benson, Rod Nance, and Brent Nance. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Roland, Regan Roland, Eichel Warren, Bruce Ramsey, Jon Roland, and David Wright.
